He came alongside Loretta.
If she carries the feeling of the moon and the music rising, he carries the weight of what it costs. There is force in him. The energy is closer to the surface.
His right hand is gloved. That detail stayed with me. The injury in the bakery is part of his story — something damaged, something endured. The glove is practical, but it also reminds us that passion does not come without consequence. He plays anyway.
When I painted him, I let the planes gather tightly around his body. The structure feels denser. Less air. He stands grounded, almost braced, but fully present.
The geometry steadies him the same way it steadies Loretta. It gives shape to intensity. It keeps the moment from tipping into drama. Well, ok a little drama.
He is standing inside what he feels. Suspension lives in that stance — the pause between hurt and devotion, between restraint and release.
